Guiding You Through the Multiply Maths Programme

You can access the Multiply maths programme for free throughout the York and North Yorkshire areas. This includes Harrogate, Scarborough, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Craven, Hambleton, Selby and many more places. We’re able to cover such a large area because we’ve teamed up with expert delivery partners who are already working with local communities throughout the region. We’re able to offer this support for free because Multiply is fully funded by the government.

We’ve made sure that you can access online learning, fun, practical maths classes and courses, and open days, in places that are local to you, so that it’s easy for you to find the numeracy support you need without the need to travel.

You’re welcome to attend any session throughout the area as long as you’re a resident of York or North Yorkshire, you’re over 19 years of age and you don’t have a maths GCSE at grade C/4 (or equivalent).

Your Local Support System

Our delivery partners are already rooted within the local community and they have specialist skills and knowledge to deliver our Multiply maths programme brilliantly. They ensure that there’s a range of events available that are fun, engaging and creative.

Our online learning, open events and practical maths classes are all designed to improve your maths skills without feeling like you’re doing maths at all, and our local delivery partners are there to guide you through your learning.

Multiply maths programme classes are free, fun and practical 2-hour sessions that range from: A Taste of Italy, where you get to cook and eat pasta and learn a little about the language and culture of Italy, to The Wildflower Project, where you find out more about wildflowers and work out how to plant and grow them.

Your local delivery partner will also be running occasional open events in the community to give you a taste of the Multiply maths programme, and offer you the opportunity to develop your skills in a fun way with your family, and others in your local area.

The Progression Award

Perfect for those who haven’t been in education for a while, The Progression Award is a stepping stone to a GCSE-level course. You’ll work in a group of 6 learners, practising your maths skills in everyday contexts. At the end of the 6-week course, the evidence of your learning will be submitted to achieve a Progression Award at Entry Level 3. You can access The Progression Award via local delivery partners in your area, after developing your confidence and skills via their fun practical maths classes. .

Open Events

We work with a range of delivery partners throughout York and North Yorkshire, who provide fun practical maths courses, Progression Award support, and open events across your local community, at things like family festivals, race days, fun runs and more, to enable you to improve your adult numeracy skills in a fun way, while taking part with others across your local community. Find an event near you and come and say hello to learn how our Multiply partners can help you.
