Do I qualify for adult English sessions with Multiply?

You can apply for our courses if you are 19 or over and live in York and North Yorkshire.

How much are the courses?

Our English classes are funded the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. That means they’re completely free, including our Century app for access to more resources and adult English games.

How are sessions taught?

Every session is different, taking place in small groups. They might involve creative tasks such as writing menus or solving whodunit mysteries, or more hands-on activities such as cooking. You’ll pick up new English skills without even noticing.

Where do the classes take place?

The classes take place at local venues throughout York and North Yorkshire. This includes Harrogate, Scarborough, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Craven, Hambleton, Selby and many more. We teach in a relaxed environment; you can learn at your own pace. Details of each session will be available on the course calendar.

How can I progress to a qualification?

Multiply can act as a stepping-stone to GCSE or Functional Skills courses. Once you’ve completed all the lessons, we’ll log your progress and submit evidence to help you gain Entry Level 3 – the step before GCSEs. You must have attended our interactive sessions before this.
