Free digital skills with Multiply
In the digital age, technology is a way of life. From keeping in touch to getting from A to B, many of us rely on devices to get us through the day. But what if you’re not confident with these tools? At Multiply, we’re offering free sessions to adults throughout North Yorkshire who want a better understanding of digital technology or even AI.
What are digital skills?
According to UNESCO, digital skills are a ‘range of abilities to use digital devices, communication applications, and networks to access and manage information’. In everyday practice, that might be anything from waking up Alexa to paying your council tax online.
Technology to flex these skills is all around us. It might be your mobile phone, laptop, television, even your watch. But despite its prevalence, approximately 13 million people have low digital capability. This can have real consequences on our home and working lives, with 5 million workers estimated to be under-skilled by 2030.
